Introducing the new Record Windcord 5400/5500 Series

The hurricane resistant Windcord 5400 is Level D or E impact-rated for large and small missile impact, while the Windcord 5500 is a non-impact rated windload model that requires a shutter system for use in windborne debris regions. Level D impact is tested at 50 feet per second and Level E impact is tested at 80 feet per second.

Maximum design pressure is +/-75psf for single slide and +/-70psf for bi-parts. Both Windcord 5400/5500 have state of Florida Product Approval (41647).

With increased frame widths up to 16’ for bi-parts and 9’ for single slide, as well as frame heights up to 104”, dry glazing, and design pressures up to 75psf (single slide), we are confident the Windcord 5400/5500 can meet your application’s needs in size, strength and aesthetics.
