  • We will discuss the history of the ADA and how it has cultivated change in the way the construction industry accommodates entrances, points of egress, and hardware. This course will also offer information on relative standards, codes, and how industry associations inform the law.

  • This course discusses exit lane technology and automatic entrance solutions as it relates to safety and security for airports. It will cover the different technologies available today, breach control, throughput, and object detection. Also discussed will be automatic storefront solutions to provide safety and security for passengers, while providing convenience and aesthetic advantages to the airports. 

    Course Syllabus

  • This course is based on the codes and standards that govern Automatic Entrances. Specifically ADA, ANSI/BHMA codes, as well as AAADM and how these will determine a portion of your design. We will also look at how the industry thinks out of the box to accomodate both design and functionality.

  • We will discuss many of the door options the industry has to offer for all of your egress needs. For sliding automatic doors, swinging automatic operators, ICU/CCU entrance solutions as well as clean room doors. We also review some industry standards and codes to pay attention to in the design phase.
